How's it going? Nice site. Here is my junk. 2000, 4.0, LP d30, 8.25 aussie locked, about 7" of lift, 4" spring 3" blocks and spacers and a bunch of other shit. I now have a severe need of a bunch more shit due to the added 3". Mainly tires. It looks real stupid with the old high tec 31's but it is what it is at this point.

Upgrade the axles before you get bigger tires.

I have not been to jeeps unlimited. I know the axles are shit, im not willing to dump an assload of money into them untill theyre broke. The xj has been sitting in a barn for 2 years. After i got it back i cut the fenders and added more lift the cheap way. It is mostly going to be a garage queen untill i actually start wheeling again. I have been out of the xj loop for a few years. Lots of nice rigs you guys have here.

Yeah no lca drop yet. I need all kinds of shit now. I really was only concerned with the lca"s clearing the shock mounts. They do by about 3/4" but ouch is right, the roads here in VT this time of year are bad. I dont drive it much so its alright for now.

So why not get rid of the spacers and block, drop it back to 4" where it's much more driveable, cut the shit out of the fenders and put 33's on it? Wheel it until the axles go :boom: and then make it a big jeep.

4" of lift is enough for 35s.

Breaking shit while wheeling is part of wheeling.

Breaking shit because your setup sucks is stupid.

Lose the blocks and the spacers. Your short arm suspension can't handle the angle. So then your bushings and frame mounts start to wear and crack. Your stock steering is already maxed out on angles, let alone if you have an axle droop. So now you're destroying tie rod ends and wearing out the gearbox.

If you have 35's in the garage and a bunch of other parts laying around, then leave your silly high suspension in there and get to work.

But if you're going to drive around like that for more than a day, get rid of that shit, because not only is it too high and looks retarded, it's wearing parts out that you're going to have to replace instead of spending that money on good shit.

Welcome. End the gayness and you can stay.

The body is still in pretty good shape or i would hack it all up and just run big tires at 4". It was cheap to add the 3" so i did it. Its just a project for me at this point. If i needed to drive it i would have let it be at 4. Now i have more that i must work on to get it where i want it to be. I dont really give a shit about its stability or weaknesses at this point. Its not going to flop or assplode in my garage. Or when i back it out to clean its piss up. Thanks for the welcome guys. Maybe i will post up more when i get more done.

Why have it if you are just going to let it sit in a barn?

I am building it to be used off road not on road. At 4" it rode like shit and i hardly put it on the street anyways. And frankly i would rather drive my dd or my wifes dd. Also i do not have downtime right now to wheel so i have no problem with the jeep being unfinished. I had a weekend to do a little work to it so i did. Is everyones rig a perpetual wheeling machine?

no, but we're all about functional around here. your 3" blocks and spacers are dumb. Have fun killing your rear leaf springs.
